Professional Training Program “Better Care, It Can Be Learned!”
The training program is flexible to meet everyone’s needs.
The Alzheimer Society Laurentides (SAL) is a recognized training organization accredited by the Commission des partenaires du marché du travail. It is authorized to provide training sessions for healthcare professionals, volunteers, and community workers across the region.
This training, developed by the Quebec Federation of Alzheimer Societies, is offered in several formats designed by a team of experts in andragogy, gerontology, and nursing specialists in the care of individuals living with neurocognitive disorders. These sessions enable key staff members or entire teams to provide care that is better adapted to the needs of individuals living with the disease under their responsibility. (Fees apply.)

- Person-centered approach
- Understanding the challenges of neurocognitive disorders
- Communication strategies
- Appropriate responses to challenging behaviours
