Professional Training Program “Better Support Starts with Learning”
This training program is designed to be flexible and meet individual needs.
The Société Alzheimer Laurentides (SAL) is a recognized training organization accredited by the Commission des partenaires du marché du travail, authorized to provide training for support workers, volunteers, and healthcare professionals in the region.
This training program, developed by the Fédération québécoise des Sociétés Alzheimer, is offered in several formats and was created by a team of adult education specialists with expertise in gerontology, along with nurses specialized in caring for people living with neurocognitive disorders. These sessions will enable your key staff—or your entire team—to provide services that are well adapted to the needs of the individuals under their care. (Fees apply.)
Topics covered include:
A person-centred approach
Understanding the challenges associated with neurocognitive disorders
Communication strategies
Effective ways to respond to challenging behaviours
